Two Weeks in Queens

Two weeks in Queens. Every court has a story.

01 · Narrative orientation

The Story

For two weeks, the tennis world belongs to Queens.

Champions arrive. Unknown names break through. Matches stretch deep into the New York night. And somewhere across the grounds, another story is beginning.

Arthur Ashe may tower above it all, but the Open has never been only about one court.

Every court has a story.

You came for the tennis.
You stayed for the story.

06 · Behind the song

Why I Wrote It

Tennis has been part of my life since childhood. Some of my earliest U.S. Open memories are of going with my family, and that feeling never left me.

The Open never feels like one match or one story. A champion can be battling inside Arthur Ashe while, a few hundred feet away, an unknown player begins the run of a lifetime.

Somewhere across the grounds, a roar erupts—and everybody wants to know what happened.

Every player arrives with a story. Every match creates another one.

That became the heart of the song:

Every court's got a story.
